Why does this trigger me so badly?

because you know it's true

OP picture is from a textbook I had to spend $120 on (they made it an "ebook" which is online-only and expires in 9 months) to pass a "Network Communications" class I need so I can get the certificate to get a job plugging Ethernets and power-cycling workstations

From the Internet Engineering Task Force
RFC 5694
https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc5694

>The main advantage of P2P content distribution systems is their scalability.
>…the good scalability properties of P2P systems…
>One of the main features of P2P systems is their scalability.

Because you're stupid. If you knew anything about the difficulty of setting up delivery networks you would know that the client-server model is much more readily scalable. But you don't, do you, you little shit? Instead you come to 4chan slash g slash to verbally vomit all over this board.

spelling out the ietf in full makes you seem like even more of a little shit than this guy implies >>58567958

Because you're a fucking retard. Kill yourself.
>>
I think your text book is talking more along the lines a computer network used in a business setting. You are thinking of p2p file sharing network being scalable.

It's 100% true. P2P has been tried for gaming and other shit and it rarely works well. Just think about torrents work: Terrible if the leechers are vastly outnumbnering the seeders. That's not something you want to professionally deploy which is why even Linux distros have it as an option alongside pulling it from a dedicated server.

works well enough for every CoD game past 4

Literally one of the biggest complaints about the series
