When I installed it I really liked the refresh rate, but I can hardly tell the difference between 2k and 1080p. I've compared video games, images, and text and the difference isn't that big. My other monitor is 27inch 1080p. It's certainly crisper, but not really worth the premium.

I made sure all the setting were correct and I was using the S2716DG to it's max potential. Anyone else like this? Might return it for a cheaper 144hz monitor and just put the money to some other upgrades.
>>
27 inch looks like shit on 1080p. I literally prefer my 24'' IPS to a 27'' IPS. I'm not even joking I swapped it for the 24''.

Woops, the monitor is 2k not 4k.

>>58548728
I am clearly blind or retarded because I'm staring at both monitors and the difference is too small IMO.
>>
>>58548698
2k IS 1080p so that's probably why you can't see a difference
>>
>>58548938

People usually refer to 1440p as 2k. In any case, this monitor is 1440p.

Holy fuck. 2k DOES NOT exist. 4k does, but NOT 2k. Got it? Good, now you can discuss again.

So...
You can't tell a difference in 1440 vs 1080?
Or 1080 vs 4k?
Or 1080 vs 1440?
Very confused.

I beg to differ.
>>
>>58549072
that's not true, 2K is 2048x1080, used in digital cinema

UHD-I standard is 4096x2160
>>
Can we all just agree that 1080p should be classed as SD now and 2160p as HD?

Shut up, retard.
>>
>>58550113
1080p IS standard definition now though.
Nowhere uploads at 480p anymore and I don't think any modern phones can even record in that.
>>
>>58550113
Holy fuck man, I swear 90% of your posts are calling someone a retard. Have you trimmed your neck beard already?
>>
>>58550057
it makes sense, but it won't happen, it just confuses things
that's the problem with names that are only relevant while they're current

it's like how 4:3 was "standard" and 16:9 "widescreen"
16:9 is now clearly the standard ratio for tv's, but people still call it widescreen, despite now not being wider than the standard (itself)
