I own two Roku 3's and a Mi Box 3. The Mi Box does all what the Roku can do: runs Netflix and has an up to date YouTube UI.

On top of that, it has a proper app store, can install file managers and media players (like MXPlayer, Kodi, VLC), has proper voice control (if you're in to that). The only thing I prefer from the Roku is the remote feel.

Roku and it's shitty BrightScript engine for building channels can go fuck itself.

The 2017 model is literally worse than the 2015. Exactly the same innards, no SD slot, no IR sensor. All accessories are compatible with the 2015. The 2015 model will become cheaper on eBay soon, if it gets under $100 you'd be a retard to buy anything else.
