The current state of Linux

More like the current state of OP being a fucking retard. The other day, on Windows 7 (you know, the supposedly "user-friendly" "it just werks" operating system) it took me like three hours to install a printer. A printer that was already installed on two other Windows 7 machines.

Now doesn't that say something about your skills rather than the OS

How much of a fucking idiot are you?

Not him, but I've had similar issues. On a Windows server I was working on, couldn't install a printer driver due to ntprint.dll bullshit. That took ages to fix and SFC wasn't able to. Manual registry and regsvr32 bullshit was needed.

Not him either but I literally just had to install a network printer on Windows 10 less than an hour ago.
The fucking thing shows up under my Network but I still have to go through the control panel and add it manually.
The fucking progress bar stopped for a few minutes doing god knows what.
Set that shit up on Google cloud print so I never have to deal with that again.

User error.
