5 years in between these 2 and only 20% difference? What the fuck is really happening
>>58534029
20 fucking percent.

thank you for stating the obvious

Hello Morgan
blame AMD
at least current Intel products are better than the older gens. that 3570k is probably faster than 90% of AMD's current offerings, while using less power
And 10% is from the clock speed. Actual IPC is only 10% difference.
3.4 v 3.8

Fucking hell

You retards lack the intelligence to see the big picture. You are paying for the development of something behind the scenes that will blow your minds. It does seem strange no progress is being made in silicon for the last 4 generations. Maybe the scientists are just lazy. Or they could be working on something else.

Or maybe intel has decided to throw buckets of money away in mobile.
Or, they paid their shareholders.

buckets into mobile

They have plans for fab 42.
The patents are expiring in 5 years
The mobile market was a drop in the bucket to Intel.
A new form of cpu will emerge soon.
Have faith.

Intel has nothing coming in the immediate future, and they will stay on their 10nm node for years exactly as they've had to stay on their 14nm node for years.

I think they spent like $3,000,000,000 on contra revenue for their Atom chips. They barely got any design wins, the most notable being the ASUS Zen phone. Then as soon as they stopped subsidizing the prices everyone stopped buying. No manufacturer really wanted to make an X86 phone, and no consumers were asking for them.
If you've been keeping up with their PR department you might have noticed that since rebranding the Atom line into x3/x5/x7 they didn't update the product line with new Apollo Lake chips. Apollo Lake appears to be Pentium branded only, and it scales down to only 6w. Prices on them top $100, a far cry from the $30~ of Cherry Trail chips. It looks like intel really is just killing of the Atom line as a whole.
There was also the Sophia mobile SoC they wasted years and hundreds of millions trying to develop. Their wireless modems have been a big sink, and they're performing worse than competing Qualcomm modems.

He's trying to shill IL+1 because he read some rumors on Wccftech about whats planned for them.
If the rumors end up true, it's gonna be another Itanium.
