I know windows sucks and all that, but I have a question. How do you guys feel about windows 10? Is it terrible compared to 7 in your opinion? Should I spend a few hours or whatever to upgrade it or just not bother?

7>>>>>>>>>8.1>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>literal dogshit>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Win10

It feels mostly the same. No reason to upgrade.

Alright I guess I'll just stick to windows 7

I'm not an idiot though, it's not like I download random links, or don't use an antivirus.

I probably would have upgraded to it if they weren't consistently trying to sneak it in while yelling, "It's free, goy. Take it. We insist."

But OP hasn't decided to install Windows 10 yet.

if you like being spied, do it
It's not bad. Make sure you download the windows 10 long term servicing branch (LTSB) if you want to switch over. Aside from server 2016, this version is the most usable barebone version of W10. No cortana, edge, etc.
However, and this is my biggest gripe, the fags over there at microsoft got rid of the classic theme (think windows 98). Without the comforting gray utilitarian UI, you will be forced to choose between bright flat colors that serve to highlight each and every UI design flaw.
Also, it is very difficult to disable automatic updates. Microsoft ultimately broke my install through updating without my permission. If I had been more vigilant I might have caught it and saved my install though.

that sounds amazing. Does it have better performance than 7?

Maybe in synthetic benchmarks, but if you have a decent enough computer you probably won't notice a significant improvement aside from the speed of a fresh installation.
I use my computer for grad school work (writing papers and studying) as well as occasional vidya, so take that with a grain of salt.
