Hey lads. These arrived today.
The black watch is an "Enmex" (Who make original? watches), black face with metal strap. The strap took a bit of getting used to but it's actually kinda cool (Might put a nato on tho). It sparkles a little bit, but it's more like coal/charcoal then 'bling', and IMO passes for a mens watch.

I haven't actually unlocked my Mi Max until now and it's comfy enough for me on the chinky rom. I've had it for 4 months now. Saying that MIUI's SOT is probably better mostly comes from reading the reported sots in xda threads about the cm roms. cyanogenmod is pretty boring anyway so I'll just stay with miui, maybe convert to global one day.

Yes, it's a pretty good solution. I've used the Rii i8+ (the original) it for mom's HTPC.

An air mouse with a keyboard on the back like a Mele F10 also works okay I guess, been using that for myself for a while.

But it's actually more cumbersome to operate than a Rii or another device like that. The issue is the air mouse gyro drift plus the constant flipping of the remote to use the keyboard at the back when you use a web browser or some search field.
