So here's the deal /ptg/: since I was busy with school for a while, I lost a few accounts on private trackers due to inactivity. I had accounts on BTN, Scene Access, GGN, and bB, and now they're all gone. I still have accounts on PTP and TEH, but I'm not a power-user on either. I had a what.cd account, but unfortunately I forgot to preserve proof before it got shut down.

Is there any chance of restoring my accounts on BTN, Scene Access, GGN, and bB? If I can't restore accounts, can I still apply to those trackers or accept invites to create new accounts? Or am I doomed to be forever barred from those trackers since I lost my original account due to inactivity?

I'm not saying they shouldn't be paranoid at all, what I'm saying is I would assume their content would make them less of a target. Trackers which have hosted mainstream movies, TV shows, and music are generally the ones which have been the target of lawsuits and were shut down. I've never heard of a tracker specializing solely in anime being shut down. I would also imagine companies such as Funimation and CrunchyRoll would have less resources and clout compared to say, the RIAA.

They should of course be mindful of security, but shutting down recruitment on all private trackers seems a bit extreme, especially since other private trackers are still recruiting on each other's forums. Basically, AB is stepping on less toes compared to BTN, PTP, and PTH, so I don't get why AB is being more paranoid then them.
