The phone scan and, I imagine, the clarity of the uploads kill it for me, but the idea of a seemingly-paper notebook that syncs to cloud is excellent. Handwriting recognition is still the dream, though.

Why don't people just use evernote or markdown?

Outside of the field of maybe art, what might this be useful for? The idea's cool and "innovative", but lacks much of a purpose outside and outside of the erase-ability, you can already just download an application on your phone to do the exact same thing. I imagine for someone like me who presses down hard, the pages would become covered in markings and it's not really like anyone actually reviews class notes once they've completed the class.

This is useless. How do I keep a towel wet for a 3 hour class? Plus, it's impossible to scan and erase the notebook fast enough to not fall behind in a serious class.

It's hard to imagine one class using up 20+ pages of notes. The idea is that you scan and erase after classes, but I will say that accessing your old notes from your smartphone during class sounds stupid.
