Are desktops dying?
Desktops are losing their appeal for personal computing needs. Laptops can do most things desktops can do.
Companies are even starting to not issue modern desktops to their employees and are sticking to laptops.

prefab business-box and cheapest-thing-possible consumer desktops are going away. The market for better stuff is being sustained by hobbyists and gamers, along with the workstation crowd once you get into X99 and shit.
But yeah I wouldn't be surprised if in ten years your choice is NUC or fulltower, with nothing in between
How do people even like laptops? They're ugly and not practical at all. I never understood how they became so popular.
I've never owned a laptop in my life and never intend to and I hate using my friend's laptops.
A tablet with a keyboard is much more practical, I jumped right onto that trend unlike laptops

I hope not. I can't do any real work on laptops because my neck and hands get strain after a few hours of using them, desktops are much more ergonomic

you can literally get all the same peripherals and a dockingstation.
>same keyboard
>same mouse
>same monitor(s)
and have the ability to take your laptop where you need to go.
i agree that working on a laptop for hours without peripherals is cumbersome

This has to be bait, right?
