Would you buy branded body parts in the future?
Of course. This body won't last forever.
AMD parts during winter, Nvidia parts during summer.
If they were superior in every way to my normal body parts, probably.

I'll just wait for a torrent
Maybe if I needed to replace a bone/joint.
Otherwise no.

Can't wait for Nvidia vs AMD or AMD vs Intel brain discussions in 2050
YOUR BRAIN ONLY DOES 60 ZETAFLOPS WHAT ARE YOU SOME SORT OF POOR PEASANT?!

kek
You could probably pirate them with 3D printing.
Having them installed would be the tricky part though- you really wouldn't have any choice since whatever the doctor is willing to install is what you get to choose from.
Which, if the doctor is limited by patents or regulation or some shit that forces him to use branded parts (biotech company payoffs..) then you're using branded parts.
I'm more worried about software and computing installed into people. Imagine having a proprietary pacemaker or something. Nightmare.

You don't have to imagine it, pacemakers are already proprietary dumbfuck.
No, I wouldn't want to turn my body into a living botnet. I would only use free as in freedom body parts.

It's almost as if I chose pacemakers as a specific example on purpose
