bash on ubuntu on windows is not *that* great. It's not integrated within windows whatsoever. It's like running a linux vm on your windows pc, but with more bugs.

can someone explain to me what the point of that is ? running an encapsulated linux system on top of windows doesn't make much sense to me because you lose all features linux has over windows and gain nothing. i don't think anyone actually gives a shit about running a linux binary natively on windows
