hey /g/ please help me solve this problem.

I have this external hard drive (western digital my passport ultra) which is broken.

In the next few weeks i've tried to repair it in many many ways but only today i managed to access to it via CHKDSK /F /R and i could transfer some file at a very slow pace. I could do this only after accepting to "empty the drive bin".

Is there a way i can fix this drive? Do you have any suggestions?

Not sure if it's FUBAR or not but you're probably better off just getting another.

Copy files in order of (importance/size). You won't get them all, but you'll get the most important ones.

This is why you buy an external enclosure and then buy a HDD of your choice. Much better than the already made ones.
