Here's a sketch I made to have a built in mouse pad.

You'd only need the extra thickness for the thinnest part of the mouse pad for most of its surface area.

Thoughts?

Your idea is shit. No one would use it. Companies are ditching ports to make shit smaller. why the fuck would you think they'd add an extra moving part that needs even more space. Not to mention this should would trap heat and make your laptop throttle worse than as Mac covered in Cook's dried jizz
