A better concept would be to have tabs how they are but when you click on them it opens up a menu of these assorted tabs your talking about. That way I can have tabs organized by website/board and not have a quarter of my screen wasted to dogshit

You're sacrificing horizontal space for vertical space, which isn't really a sacrifice at all since almost every single site on the internet can be displayed in a square viewport and look fine.

Also you can make the bar as wide or narrow as you want, or you can set it to autohide. It definitely takes some getting used to but it's hard to go back to normal tabs after using tree style for so long.
