Was looking at this. I love power banks, and am wondering what the highest capacity single power bank is, does anyone know what that is or if there are some larger then 50000mAh?
Don't power banks start degrading horrible if not used correctly?
I never tinkered with them so what do I know.
Top of the line cells are 3200 or 3400mah, China cells are usually half that if that. They're usually paralleled then ran through a boost converter to 5v. You can eyeball how many cells would fit and do the math.

They're pretty hard to mess up when in a power bank. It's a easy life compared to being dead shorted to fill some kids lungs with burnt sugar. Just don't drain the pack till the protection kicks and not charge it for a year.
BOOM

Why would you need one mega capacity power bank? If you need more capacity, just buy another power bank. You won't be saving a lot in terms of physical space because bigger power banks are just simply more batteries. I also find huge power banks not as convenient because if I don't need the capacity, I'm stuck with the one HUEG power bank. Sometimes, I just need a 4000mAh just in case.
>Well, why don't you just buy a smaller power bank for those occasions?
Exactly. Get multiple power banks. In addition, they'll charge faster than one mega power bank.

>China cells are usually half that i
You mean a third?
You also mean used cells from 2009 that already have 300 cycles?
You also mean came from a failed pack where the one cell was discarded and the others are soon to follow?

What are some decent power bank brands? Is there even any reason to buy a quality power bank, or any cheap chink will do the trick?
