>tfw i3 6100
>>58442477
The new Pentium G4620 edges out an i3 6100 in most tests and is twenty bucks cheaper.
>>58442434
How the fuck did you manage to kill a cpu?
how much a mobo for this shit cost ? fucking obsolete
>>58442434
Doesn't intel offer several years warranty for their processors?
>>58442907
It's only a three year limited warranty and overclocking/overvolting your CPU voids it.
>>58442434
Replace it and remember to buy a damn cooler for the new one.
>>58442777
Only in datacaps land, it's not even available yet here in my shithole.

Got a brand new 6600k after my assrock mobo fried it. Painless, easy transaction. Fun fact: Intel charges $160 for a 6600k. Must be what cost to dealers is. Intel probably holds them to the msrp pretty heavy.

original and kek worthy

Overpaying.
I payed $150 for my 6600k

>tfw I though getting mine for $180 was a good price.
How did you get it so cheaply?
>>58441609
Are you finally realising how shit it is, or are you bragging?
>>58442858
Not that much, since it's a crappy consumer chip and mobos for those are everywhere. 50-60 bucks for a low/mid range one. High end ones, specially overclocking boards can be expensive tho.

Buy a used 2600k.
Just upgraded to a i7-6850k from my old i7-2600k.
Got the new chip for $200- yeah, $400 off on a 6-core, one of the bonuses for working the shit life that is Retail.
That 2600k went strong through several years, but I think the motherboard was crapping out because I was getting an extremely weird glitch after a while on games where any time I moved the mouse my computer would TANK in performance- and even after closing the game it would persist in windows desktop without anything open.
I switched everything in that computer to other parts except the mobo+cpu, meaning it was the issue all along. That said, looking back it probably was the thermal paste which I never bothered replacing or maybe the cpu needed to be reseated.
Ah well, this new CPU lets me run BF1 at much higher frames since it seems to be using the extra cores.
