I got a extended battery for my iPod classic, pic related.
You can see the connection where I'm pointing with the screwdriver.
Problem is the cable is too short.
My question is if you can heat it up and bend it, to mount the battery the other way around.

I have this topology right here. It's supposed to be 2 different buildings. Here's the 'rules':

1. This is supposed to be a company that's split in 2 buildings. This company has 2 departments. The network from the 2 different departments must be kept separated (2 different subnets/VLANs).

2. Each department uses 1 third of the total available ports on each access layer switch. That means the 2 depts. share the same 6 access layers.

3. Each building should access the internet via its own modem


So how should I go about VLAN/subnetting these? Should I do just 1 VLAN per dept (2 VLANs total), with both buildings sharing VLANs, or should I do 1 VLAN per dept. AND building (4 VLANs)?

Are LCD screens affected by freezing temperatures? I want to install a monitor in my garage for putting up schematics and work plans but there's no heat in my garage and it gets below freezing here semi-regularly this time of year

Does my GPU have faulty RAM? It performs poorly and all my games stutter. Couldn't get a conclusive answer last thread.

My iPod classic will randomly say "please connect to power" like it has a dead battery, then it'll shut off.
If I leave it alone for a few minutes then it on, it'll report it has a full battery and I can use it all day long with no problem. In a few days, it'll go through this process all over again.

Anything I can do to fix it?

Mpv scalers looks like washed/blurred picture, just like vlc and igv's sharpeners mess the image too much. Adaptive sharpen and finesharp are horrible but madVR NGU and JincAR scalers are really good and sharpeners don't mess the image at all.

for about 3-4 weeks i been having problems with my internet/wifi modem, whenever i turn on my pc it would reset and then come straight back sometimes with dns problems i would have to restart pc.

About to build my first computer, anything I should keep in mind? Already got my anti-static wristband handy and a fire extinguisher nearby just in case.

I have a 32 GB SanDisk flash drive. I want to be able to boot into Tails and Kali Linux (ideally both 32- and 64-bit Kali) from it, as well as having a large partition to act as a regular flash drive.

I formatted the drive into two FAT32 partitions - `persistence` and `multiboot` (`persistence` first so that I can use the drive as a regular flash drive on Windows), but using YUMI installs the OS' onto the first partition and renames that to `multiboot`.

I tried it with just one partition at first too, but shrinking the `multiboot` partition after running YUMI and creating a new FAT32 `persistence` partition through GParted caused `multiboot` to no longer work.

Is what I'm after even doable? Ideally, I would have about 2GB allocated to Tails, 4-8GB for Kali(s) and the remaining bulk of the drive as regular storage, accessible on both Windows and GNU/Linux systems.

What's the best and most hassle free way to "refresh" a hard drive? What I mean is basically forcing a read (and write if possible) of every sector of the hard drive but leave files and everything untouched. What are libraries? For example when I install some software it sometimes install some libraries as a dependency (e.g. the opus library, the libressl library). A lot of software boast about using xlib, where x is anything. But what does that mean exactly, is it software as well or something else? Does it have anything to do with C libraries?

Most everything works fine, but whenever I do something with audio and haven't had audio play for a few minutes or longer, I get a clicking sound before it plays, or in cases like Youtube videos the sound doesn't play at all when the video starts and only plays if you drag the time to anywhere other than 0:00. Does this sound like a common problem with a common solution?

I'd guess it's either your speakers powering up or shit left in your sound card driver output buffer being full of noise and pumped out. If the former it's a hardware issue and no way you can fix that. If the latter, driver update or messing with settings might fix it. There may be power management settings that will make it go away when the device is plugged in.

Tried rebooting? Possibly caused by keyboard state being fucked up. If that doesn't work, rule out hardware by testing an external keyboard. Rule out OS by booting into Linux live CD.

Sounds like some function key being locked up, ctrl, alt, win, etc. I'd try tapping all of those once on both sides and see if it helps

That didn't work, but the fun part is that my left alt key made the window close.
So, in conclusion: My hardware's fucked and there's an 0.01% chance Linux will fix it, which I'll try if it becomes a bigger annoyance.

a movie is just pictures.
You can get "raw" from wmv/mpg/t2s but those aren't truly raw, but nearly lossless
