a good one
>>58415476
One that you can make yourself which can account for your room space, your needs, your l/w/h, your desired material/quality, and your uses/purposes

That's an Ikea galant, which is a pretty good desk
The best desk is probably a well treated live edge and some really well built legs

The one that suits your needs and requirements better than any other, obviously.
Oh, if you mean a "best desk" for everyone, no such thing exists so don't waste time looking for such an item.

This. I made one out of a counter top, bolted to the wall, and with two kitchen table feet.
It was 300x80, could hold a shit ton of stuff, and the footprint was limited to the two feet.

Or just improvise and get too tables to form L shape

Does it even matter? It looks good but it doesn't have adjustable legs like the Galant which means if it doesn't fit you perfectly to begin with, you're going to need to saw the legs off.
Just get a used ikea galant instead. The galant is also deeper than that piece of shit.
>all the tidy-ass clean desks in this thread

The desk you own
>>58416075
I'd rather it be ergonomically correct, comfy and have more usable space than look nice.
The Galant grows on you. I thought it was just a cheap ikea desk and nothing special when I first bought it. The more I used it and saw other desks, I came to appreciate how adjustable it was and how much depth it had vs your average desk.
I have zero desire for a new desk ever. My next upgrade (when I am in the money), will be custom made tops of premium wood for the current Galant.

I could just get this though

plus my table now looks like someone stabbed it 1000 times

No room for storage space underneath. i prefer to have a plain flat desk and then a separate set of drawers that fits underneath but can be moved to change my needs. The folding legs and the locking mechanism takes up all the space that could be used for a set of drawers on one of both sides.

You gotta hit up my nigga David Alan out in Solana Beach, CA. he's got the hookup for all sorts of beautiful reclaimed and exotic woods that make beautiful desk/table surfaces. Sturdy as fuck & beautiful
