Fungi is the internet guys

We'll it does have root access but only after you install the tree interface.

Several studies have demonstrated that mycorrhizal networks can transport carbon,[3][4][5] phosphorus,[6] nitrogen,[7][8] water,[2][9] defense compounds,[10] and allelochemicals [11][12] from plant to plant. The flux of nutrients and water through hyphal networks has been proposed to be driven by a source-sink model,[2] where plants growing under conditions of relatively high resource availability (e.g., high light or high nitrogen environments) transfer carbon or nutrients to plants located in less favorable conditions. A common example is the transfer of carbon from plants with leaves located in high light conditions in the forest canopy, to plants located in the shaded understory where light availability limits photosynthesis.

This sounds like fucking socialism
>>
>>58415857
Big deal, you can make anything sound like socialism if you try hard enough.
>>
>>58415888
Sounds like something a socialist would say
>>
Very easy to MITM
>>
>>58415857
Its actually a crazy example of machine-like efficiency.
Mycelium will form a symbiotic relation with trees, grasses, plants of all kinds when need be. They can effectively give more nutrients to the plants, but they aren't doing it selflessly. The fungi essentially integrates the plant into its network. It'll do this with thousands even potentially millions of other plants. The plants keep the soil healthy, and mycelium benefits from that. They exploit an existing labor resource to their advantage.

Its almost like the Chinese involvement in Africa.

>>58415888

Yeah except in socialism you have slackers sucking up all the resources and bringing down the whole colony. In nature everything actually tries to contribute to the community.

Socialism and Communism would work if people didn't milk the system dry.

I feel like the average /g/ poster is probably home to a pretty complex ecosystem of fungus if not on his body than at least his desk.

If you look at it as one organism and the myocardial networks as a humans blood circulation system then it makes a lot more sense.

Not at all. It's riddled with bugs.

I've been receiving messages from tree spirits by ingesting mushrooms for years, but sadly my government wants to censor them and so has prohibited the distribution of some mushrooms.
Only way around that is encrypting the mushrooms into pastries.
