I think social media is killing society. Not because 'boohoo dey juss lookin at phone instead of wurld awound dem' , but because it gives people the idea that their opinions and ideas (or lack thereof) matter. Attention whoring is at an all time high, and when people can't get likes/upvotes/(You)'s/whatever they just copy something that did. This in turn makes copying itself popular, because it leads to getting the craved likes/upvotes/etc. So now we're stuck with dumb unfunny and unoriginal attention whores all massively copying and liking each others copies.
