I don't normally get into the whole wanky shit that /g/ does about calling things a meme, but curved screens... Fucking hell. It's literally the result of TV manufacturers going "ok, we can't charge a zillion dollars for smart TV's anymore and noone buys 3D,what can we do to turn this 3000 dollar TV into an 8000 dollar tv" then some retarded intern says lol curve it and THIS STUPID. FUCKING. SHIT. HAPPENS.

My Samsung 42 inch panel is still young fucking strong. I'm not convinced anything bigger or higher res than 1080p is necessary, even for 1440p content. My Evangelion bluray set looks good enough to masturbate to.

No.1500-2000 dollars is where you start seeing good mid-range stuff. UHD with HDR for 1000 dollar is just gonna be one of those sets where they've made a bunch of compromises to get all the cool new features.
