Hoping you guys can help me. I'm looking to buy a laptop for my mother in the 500 Eaglebucks neighborhood. She does a lot of facebook games, movies, general shit. I'd prefer a 1080p screen and it being non glare.
I was thinking about pic related (Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575G-53VG) Wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions before buying it.

Litterally get her an older thinkpad. Just find one with a 1080p screen. They have better speakers and build quality than consumer grade tech.

this should fit your needs for your mom.
i own an i7 hp laptop with 6gb of ram, 1 tb hdd, and intel graphics. no touch screen, but it does the job very well. only downside is the hour it takes to uninstall the dumb bloatware. but it can run half life 1 at 60fps and it can surf the web so i'm happy. she would be too.

Customers in reviews also report little to no glare on the screen. not a bad price either.

I'm curious why you would shoot for 500 bucks and then get that acer.
You could get and hp or lenovo i36100u with 6gb and 1tb for 300-350 bucks on any given day at best buy. At 500 bucks if you only need it for jewbook games and movies, you could get some sort of touchscreen convertible 2in1 thing or some rose gold i3 that at least looks cooler.
500 bucks just seems like overkill for what she needs it for. And I have heard terrible things about acer.

That's why I posted here before buying anything. I just saw it was a "best seller" so thought it'd be good for normal use for regular things.
