Is there any decent foss software that I could use to tag my pictures?
Adobe Elements Organizer gets the job done, and gets it done quickly, but apparently it comes only in bundle with Photoshop Elements, also it's bloated as fuck. Adobe Bridge seems to come with similiar features and slightly less bloat, but it's still a fat piece of software with tons of useless features.
Are there any decent lightweight (and foss?) alternatives?

Yeah, no.
I had to use it for a few weeks about 2 years ago and I have to admit that it's at least decent. The problem is, that it doesn't work for me as my main driver - I work with some tools available exclusively for windows, sometimes I enjoy my free time while playing vida. Also, at the points where I don't need either those tools or support for games I'm rocking linux (i3 manjaro, currently) because I like my OS free if I have the choice.
I just don't see any real reason to use macos.
