What's good posture when using a laptop? I always find myself looking down at the laptop. I'm guessing this is bad.
Can't raise the laptop though because then I'll have to raise my arms up to type.

The best posture is your next posture. Trying to sit perfectly straight is bad for your back when you sit for long hours, the best thing for your spine and shoulders is to constantly change position every half hour or so. I used to try and sit perfectly but ended up with scoliosis because I would always stay in the same position and the muscles in my back slowly but surely twsited my spine.
Moving around is a lot easier to do with laptops, so I cycle between my standing desk and my sitting desk (both have monitors). My back feels much better now.

Also get one of those little cooling platform things that can raise your laptop to different heights, it will stop you from looking down at your laptop all the time. You can get them for around $10.

I have to agree with this, and this is what I find myself doing as someone who's used their computer for numerous hours a day everyday for years.
