I have the rock zircons. They're pretty nice for the price. Anons complain about build quality but I use mine in bed and have rolled over on them, don't take care of them at all and they're still good.

They are a bit bassy. But the bass is detailed, not muffled. So when listening to bassy music, not just EDM, dubstep, but reggae too, you can hear the bass line quite nicely.

For listening to other kinds of music they need a bit of equalizing. Although, I've only needed to equalize them when listening to music on my phone. When on my laptop watching movies or listening to music they don't feel too bassy at all. Could be the laptop's soundcard.

All in all, they're pretty good for the price ($12).

I came into ownership of a thinkpad x61s that the previous owner souped up and upgraded the ram on. got it for 60 euros, bought an extended battery pack for like 30 euros.

My laptop needs also include field work, my study includes going out camping in nature and collecting samples and making presentations.

The only obvious downside is that it has no hdmi out, just vga. But most of the projectors that we have in the tent for presenting have vga, and if you get a x200 or x220 I think those have hdmi. I usually get told to load the powerpoint on a thumb drive anyway.

Today i got chinked out of 5 hours of my time trying to troubleshoot a TLE5010 mag resistive sensor breakout board. I was getting no data from it at all, after checking for continuity it turned out that 3 pins of it weren't soldered in correctly so no data could be sent.
It was a quick fix but i nearly lost my mind over it so can i ask for a partial refund because of the mental distress it caused me?
