>>58365419

What do they mean by this
>>58365419
Mine would always do that if i had wake on LAN on. both windows and OSX do it.

Every time I try to install Gentoo on something, some bullshit like this stops me from doing it.
I've always had this problem with Windows. Seriously, how hard is it to just make a computer sleep until it's explicitly woken up? No combination of settings seem to reliably fix the problem.
>>58365804
>He has to restrain his computer to keep it from raping his asshole
>>58365419
Disable sleep OR hibernation. Make it so only one of them will happen.
Or you could just shut down your PC at night. I do that and flick the switch on my PSU to prevent power surges from doing anything to it. Yes I have a UPS, but shit happens.
>>58365419
Turn off "power on by keyboard" or "power on by mouse" or similar shit in your BIOS.
I shit you not, my friend had this turned on, and the computer turned on when he turned on his TV, or randomly during the day. Probably static discharge.

That doesnt mean CPU stops heating, and that it reaches the treshold after lowering the cpu usage.
Are you guys clinically retarded?
>>58366479
CPU never stops heating
Remember fellow goys to turn off your router when you go to sleep.
>>58365618
It does happen if you have wake on lan or automatic startup enabled.
>>58365572
Every fucking time, I just disabled it after failing to fix it over the course of 6 hours
