Question for all the Windows 10 users here. How much RAM does Windows 10 use? If you open the task manager as soon as the system boots, how much is being used?

I have 6gb ram and when I boot it up it uses about 50%, so 3gb ram.
2 gb for me

~800MB on my PC with 16GB RAM, but after like 20min it jumps to ~1.2GB and stays there for the most part when idle.

Okay, thanks.

Idk because I don't want to pay for the privilege of putting malware on my machine, but in VirtualBox the default RAM for a Win10 VM is 2GB. So that's probably enough to run it, though maybe not very well.

That's probably more a property of your available RAM than the OS itself. It seems to me that modern Windows versions try to balance so they use something like 33-50% of RAM no matter how much is actually available.
