Yo sup, I am looking for a new os to program for, but since osx is closer to linux and windows not, but a mac is much more expensive.

why should I choose windows?

Programming on windows is a pain in the ass. Programming on Unix and Linux is "just werks" because you can use a package manager to download any library you need and it will work after running the pm.

yea, but now i have a job which i need to design and program a lot, and mac has some good design programs (windows too), but i heard osx is almost the same as linux?

Getting a MacBook laptop from 2013 for retina is pretty comfy for programming as well as media consumption if I didn't buy it I would've went for a Dell xps but they were a fair bit more expensive
