This is about the same performance as a stock GTX 1080. Since this an advertisement the card is obviously their top end card (most likely overclocked as well). Vega most likely won't outperform what Nvidia has to offer on the high end, which is really disappointing. Stop being a fanboy.

HIGHLY unlikely. They wouldn't risk instability during the first display of their new system. It might even have been overvolted on stock clocks.
Also rumour is the entire system was running like a furnace because AMD taped the vents shut for security reasons or something? If true, it may have been throttling.
