Is that Q6600 Overclocked?
If so, is that MoBo any good?
I have E6420 and i can't get over 3,6GHz because of my board.
It's running just fine at 1,46V but when i change the Bus speed from 450 to 451, it just won't POST.

So I did some investigating and a mounting bracket for my CPU dislodged
>Reinstall the bracket, tighten everything down and reapplied a little bit more TP since I didn't have enough when I removed it to reinstall
>Restart comp
>Now my CPU and MOBO are idling at 35-/+ and 50-/+C
Did I do something wrong? Does this shit just run hot or what? I am nervous that the parts are going to fuck each other up if they start peaking like it was in pic related.

What temperature should I start worrying at? First time using Intel parts

I would say that's fine
Your cooler is fine, idling at 30°C is good. And the airflow inside your case shouldn't be an issue.
Both my CPU and MoBo are hitting 55°C under 100% load, but anything under 75°C should be fine imho.
Is the chipset heatsink properly attached? On some motherboards, they are pretty loose and wobble a lot, could be the cause of your high chipset temps. Or just faulty thermal sensor.
