Is systemd truly a meme?
Does anyone here run one of the distros without systemd?
Is it quantifiably more manageable, or is all the anti-systemd shilling just hipster whining?
anti-systemd manchildren are basically closeted bsdfags, they're pretty much irrelevant.
I used void Linux for about a year. It's a great distro with a lot of potential. What's slowing it down is the lack of packages and an elitist/unhelpful community. Their wiki/documentation could use more work as well.
They encourage you to build your own packages with xbps, which is a decent package manager, I admit. However I don't have the time to be a package maintainer for my distro. I want to install a package and use it.

Funtoo.
systemd is a fuckton lines of code that god knows what it wants to do all.
It's the same meme as SELinux, it's great when it works but when there is something broken hit shits the fan
I've been using Linux for about 7 years and systemd is one of the best things to happen to Linux. It makes everything so easy.
