Had a Lumia 735 for over an year, even past the Windows 10 update. It's great by itself, the problems emerge with third party software. Most of the applications you habitually use are literally shit, since nobody still use it and no major developer cares about shipping functioning applications. I couldn't even send a text message without getting frustrated. Had to switch to Android, and it really "just werks"

I've been on Android for about 6 months now, after having been a Windows Phone user since 8 released. Honestly, Android "just werks" better. I haven't had any of the issues that I had with Win 10, like texts randomly failing to send/receive, losing data connection and having to reboot the phone, "hearing loss warning" annoyingly popping up and turning down my volume when I keep it up all the way, apps not pushing notifications sometimes. Android is more refined at this point, and "just werks".

I just wanted a phone with a good camera, removable battery, and an SDcard slot.
As a bonus, it comes with Qi charging. It has basically every hardware feature of every flagship phone, but without all the apps.

Very unlikely to go back. Better to go with iOS in that respect. However, they have been making progress. Back then Microsoft had to even make the top applications such as Twitter, Facebook, etc. IIRC. Now it's a bit better.

Man... You know... I didn't think not having applications would be significant, but wow... You don't know what you had until it's gone. Seriously. It was ridiculous. I will say that it's actually a good operating system. I used it when Windows 10 Mobile or whatever it's called was in beta via the insider preview thing. Really nice to use. Don't recall having any significant complaints.

I use Outlook, Office, and a lot of Microsoft products on Android as Google Docs is a fucking joke. No one doing serious work would use it, but on the other hand I do like Google's applications more than Microsoft's. I don't believe it's worth it to switch just for them, but I assume they'd work much better. Although they seem fine on Android. Are Google's applications on Windows Phone? Google Drive, specifically? How is it?
