It's my browser of choice on my mobile phone. Am I making a mistake? Works better than chrome imo
>>
>>58339350
No, unless you allow them. It's an ok browser, the lack of add-ons is annoying though. Picture Firefox with no customization and noscript and adblocker always running.

Yeah its good, but very early.

You can't even replace ads yet.

Mobile is great already though.

Also, made by Brendan Eich, so you can stick it to the SJWs and Mozilla at the same time.
>>
I love how anyone ays it's an adblocker on phone. Just tested it on a site iknow there are pop up ads. Didn't do shit this time not 1 but 2 ads popped up
>>
>>58338990
Sure I'm brave enough to change browsers, but I'm not dumb enough to downgrade to Brave.
>>
>>58338990

Does it bring focus back to the previously used tab when you close a tab instead of the one to its side?

All i fucking want from a browser and none of them do it.
>>
i use brave but they havent updated in like 2 months so im guessing the final release will be out soon or something. it really is better than every other browser except chrome, thats for sure. ill get rid of chrome when they have a more finalized version.

> Start supporting publishers today with our new Brave Payments systems.

Oh, just get the fuck out of here.

Everybody wants to be the big new standard payment system. Just give me a fucking break.

This has the horrible stench of a team of ignorant, arrogant, blond-haired, 27-year-old former-frat-boy MBA fuckwits who compete with each other for best physique, deepest tan, and prettiest business card.

I'll bet they want all the programmers in an open office floor plan with nothing but 3-foot-high cubicles, and turning the temperature down to 65 degrees F because they read in "MBA Monthly Magazine" that those things help boost productivity.

"Hey, let's make a new browser with its own payment system."

Jesus Motherfucking Christ.
>>
>>58346896
desktop, last release was a month ago but was a small insignificant one: https://github.com/brave/browser-laptop/releases
>>
>>58347158
It's not intending to be a Big New Payment System. But rather, if they want to pay people to allow ads, they need to create their own platform. Otherwise however little money ads make these days on desktops will be even smaller due to an already established payment platform taking a slice of the pie.

~~~stay ignorant~~~
>>
>>58347212
>It's not intending to be a Big New Payment System.
Oh, seriously, dude -- how naive can you be? Of course they want desperately to become THE STANDARD payment system of the future. There's no way they would have gotten any capitalization if they didn't have the long-term goal of becoming the universal payment system that puts them in the central gatekeeper role. Nobody goes into a venture like that thinking small. The VCs simply won't allow anyone into their club who doesn't have the vicious fighting spirit to become THE alpha top-dog predator of the industry. They see Brave as a foot in the door. They can have only one ultimate goal -- to take down every competitor, up to and including PayPal if possible. Nobody would fund them otherwise.
I kind of liked Brave for a while, not as my primary web browser, but it worked well and did mostly everything I want from a browser while still remaining relatively intuitive and attractive. That's why I installed it on my sister's office computer, so that she could do everything she needed to do safe and securely without fucking ruining everything like she somehow manages to do every time. Furthermore, it keeps my fucking nephews from installing those retarded "World of Tanks" or "World of Generals" addons. The adblocker keeps them from clicking on shady ads when they watch porn on their laptops, like we don't know what they're doing in there when they lock themselves in the bathroom for forty minutes.
Also, Brave blocks ads by default. That may vary platform to platform, but, in my experience, you have to go into settings and manually toggle Brave to replace ads with their own in order to get that feature.
One thing that keeps me from personally using Brave is the lack of extensions, obviously, but another thing that really pisses me off is the app the have for your smartphones. I tried it on iOS, and, every time I typed in 4chan.org, it redirected me to the Wikipedia page. At first I thought it was my ISP or that, maybe, their were some parental settings I had to disable, but, no, they literally won't let you browse 4chan. I guess Brave was never really the most trustworthy browser in existence, but that's really fucking sleazy.
>>
So are there any browsers that can match chromes convenience but isn't a ram hog and battery killer?
>>
I'm too entrenched in Google. I use Chrome, Android tablet, Android phone, all their services. I can't leave.
