do i buy 980ti for $310 or 1070 for $360
want to maximize my vr frames
>>58338921
VR you need lots of ram for that amount of pixels, 980ti is for low/medium vr.
>>58338921
980Ti is better if you don't care about electricity bills, heat, or noise.
>>58338921
980ti is faster than the 1070 in the large majority of games
This is helped by the better clock for clock performance, faster memory bus, more cuda cores, etc.
However the 1070 is newer, so do what you want with this information
seems like conflicting opinions, someone please chime in
980ti is faster but the 1070 has more leds so I dunno mang
>>58338921
1070 because 980ti is gimped now
>>58339004
Well 1070 > 980... Simple mathematics
>>58339063
980ti
>>58339058
No it isn't, not even close
>>58338921
1070 owners will tell you 1070 to validate their purchase and people who know what they're talking about will say 980ti
If you find 980ti for around $250 I would go with that. Otherwise I would go with the 1070 because buying used card for the price of the new one is stupid. They are mostly the same.

1070 shows to be about 2% faster in most benchmarks, but the 980ti in your example is about 15% cheaper, so it's up to you.
I'd go the 1070 because I have a power budget to work within.

>2% faster
Not it isn't, maybe vs a stock 980ti at 1200mhz
>>58339395
1% - 2%, except in The Division, apparently.

Yeah called it
Against a barebones stock 980ti
When a 980ti is overclocked vs a 1070 overclocks the 980ti performs better, always
