I think Windows 7 was pretty good, but I also am not a huge fan of the Aero look.

I like the general idea of the Windows 10 UI - I like flat - but it all (OS and design) went to hell because of their touch integration. I think it's a good thing that they're attempting to make Windows universal, but as it stands, it's poorly designed because they're trying to keep Windows as it used to be whilst stacking touch shit on it.

Also the telemetry thing, the ads and all that is just ridiculous, feels like it kind of kills what could've been.

Nowadays it's fucking simple and it works like a charm with only as much driver hunting as you'd have on Windows. Honestly, the only difficulty is that with each update you'll probably have to disable graphics drivers, uninstall them from the 800x600 BIOS graphics driver, and install new drivers.
