Junior dev here.
Has the whole race war thing made America less attractive to you as a place to work/live? It has for me. I'm Canadian.
It's possible to live in a nice neighborhood and get away from crime, but if SoCal decides to descend into ethnic violence, the offices of the Big 4 will not be spared.
I know you can write me off as paranoid, but it's pretty much a racial cold war down there now. I don't want to be there for the hot war.

it's highly location dependent. I'm in the irrelevant rural midwest where 95% of every town is white and there's no issues aside from all the heroine.
There's a decent amount of brain drain, but some areas like Des Moines, Iowa are doing a good job at retaining good economic opportunities and avoiding the whole race war situation.
