Nobody actually likes windows. This is a fact. They like applications that run in windows. They like the machine sometimes that they run windows on. They like it when they install it 'fresh' after it gets sloggy after a while. But, and I will repeat, noboby actually likes windows.

There are those that love linux and there are those that hate linux. There are those that love to torture those that love linux.

But, and I will repeat this truth again. Nobody actually likes windows. They tolerate it.

I unironically like windows 10 because it just werks for me. I've switched to linux countless times and everytime something or the other happens which demands reinstallation.Either the newest nvidia driver breaks hardware acceleration in mpv, optimus doesn't work and switches to intel or horrible screen tearing. Sometimes out of fucking nowhere wifi device is not recognised. Worst part is, after fixing the problem, it doesn't even take a month to break after an update.

On other hand windows 10
> OS install complete in 35 mins
> Drivers auto installed in another 5-10 mins via windows update
> Softwares installed and set up in 30 mins
> uxtheme patched and good minimal theme installed 2-5 mins
> debloat script run and winaerotweaker to disable cortana defender, windows update to notify only and other tweaks 10 min
> misc tweaks 1 hour

for programming, i just ssh into my raspberry pi and vim. haven't used mac much but its ui disgusts me so thats my 2 cents.

Nobody "likes" windows. Some use windows because they are tech illiterate or because their employer mandates it.
