Funnily enough my old dad who no longer knows anything about technology at all and I don't know why. It's not Alzheimer's or anything. As I grew up he stopped caring about it.

Internet wasn't a thing when I started. Of course it existed already, but there were no providers for normal households during my childhood.
However, "The C Programming Language" by K&R is a good book if you want to learn something.
Ive been burried in my computer for 14 years. Self taught.
