I don't think you know what CUDA is, and you certainly have never used AWS for anything because if you did you would never suggest it for anything more than testing. Solaris is EOL, but nobody uses it anyway they use Open Solaris (Joylent ect).

WhatsApp when Facebook bought them consisted of one FreeBSD box running 2 million TCP connections with CPU and memory to spare. The only reason this is possible is because of the TC/IP stack in BSD is lightyears beyond Linux http://thehackernews.com/2016/08/linux-tcp-packet-hacking.html

If you want Linux to be the future of anything I suggest you fix the default stack or write a new one for whatever it is you're doing (yes, this is possible http://jvns.ca/blog/2016/06/30/why-do-we-use-the-linux-kernels-tcp-stack/ )

>>58317112
And?
>>
Also, can't do shit in BSD
>>
>>58317135
Maybe you're willing to literally pay money to shitpost on /g/, but normal people don't care enough. Then again, you're probably using OpenBSD for the sake of trolling /g/, so what do I know.
>>
>>58317152
It's no more paying money to post than it is to use your desktop's connection. It is a lot of hassle for samefagging that I'd expect a retard like you to go through though.
>Then again, you're probably using OpenBSD for the sake of trolling /g/
Why's it so hard to believe that there are actually people with differing opinions than yours? I use OpenBSD because I like it. You use whatever the fuck you use because it's what you like. It's not that goddamned difficult to comprehend.
>>
>>58317221
>It's not that goddamned difficult to comprehend.
About as easy to understand as any psychotic break from reality. Next thing we know you will be playing with TempleOS in a VM and bragging about how ticket master uses code form it.
>>
>>58317304
Haven't you gotten enough shitposting in for the day?
>>
>>58317304
Also all I'm finding about Ticketmaster and TempleOS is that Terry based TempleOS's heap algorthm on one he saw while working for Ticketmaster.
>>
>>58317221
>It's no more paying money to post than it is to use your desktop's connection
It is. Mobile data plans have data caps, which means that every used MB counts toward this.

It's like a prepaid card.
>>
>>58317557
No shit, except that data expires at the end of the month. Please do go on about how it'd be a waste of my data to post once using my phone's cellular Internet when I end every month with multiple GBs of unused data?
>>
>>58317660
So you admit that you actually pay to shitpost? lol
>>
>>58318171
You are beyond retarded. I don't samefag using my phone, I was explaining how it can be done. Also you should really reread my post if you think that's in any way paying to use 4chan.
>>
>>58318199
>I don't samefag, I'm just explaining in detail how a samefag would do it. But I don't do it, I promise.
>>
ITT: The only OpenBSD-fag on /g/ gets baited over and over and over again
>>
>>58318210
Hey you can not believe me all you want. At the end of the day we're both just anonymous guys on a website, what the fuck does it matter?

>>58318225
ITT: autistic twats count any replies to their poor bait as falling for bait because the only time they're successful at anything is when they pretend to be
>>
>>58318258
I call bullshit on this claim though: >>58310812

Your time is obviously completely worthless.
>>
>>58318300
It was true at the time. Of course I've been replying to other threads since, I mean that was 12 hours ago. You think I've just been sitting here with this one thread open staring at the refresh timer waiting for a reply? Quit being so fucking retarded.
>>
>>58318360
>You think I've just been sitting here with this one thread open staring at the refresh timer waiting for a reply?
Honestly, yes. You seem like that sort of person.

Even if that what you say is true, that you've spent all this time (shit)posting in other threads
>being on 4chan 12 hours straight
Holy shit you're a fucking loser
>>
>>58318375
>Honestly, yes. You seem like that sort of person.
Sure thing bud.
>Even if that what you say is true, that you've spent all this time (shit)posting in other threads
And doing other stuff around the house. What, did you expect me to go do something in the middle of the night? Maybe go play outside in the 3ºF weather with high winds?
>Holy shit you're a fucking loser
Wow, some random guy on the Internet thinks I'm a loser. How ever will I carry on with life!?
>>
>>58318454
>And doing other stuff around the house.
Cool story bro.

>What, did you expect me to go do something in the middle of the night?
I'd expect you to go to bed, instead of sitting up all night hitting refresh on a troll thread.
>>
>>58310403
>advocates of open source software
So corporate shills?
>>
>>58318466
>Cool story bro
It's like you came straight from 9gag, please go back.
>I'd expect you to go to bed
That's daytime stuff.

>>58318523
>So corporate shills?
No. They're like freetards but support a license that makes sense and aren't unfathomably obnoxious about it.
>>
>>58318545
>not knowing that cool story bro is a 4chan /v/ meme from 2007
So you're also a newfag, lol
>>
>>58318579
No shit it originated here, then it got old and became popular on shit networks like 9gag (which I still suggest you go back to), then people like you coming from 9gag get associated with 9gag for saying it even though it originally was a 4chan thing.
>>
>>58318627
>get told
>"no i knew it all along"
Panicking about being called out as a newfag is really lame, anon.
>>
>>58318636
Nice damage control but your 9faggotry is still showing. Quit shitting the board up with your cancer.
>>
>>58318656
Nice thread you made for yourself here, OP.
>>
>>58307717
First post is best post.
>>
>>58318666
I can't even tell you the last time I made a thread.
>>
>>58318705
I can tell you, because you're the only one making OpenBSD threads on /g/
>>
>>58318732
That makes no sense. I've never started an OpenBSD thread yet they pop up here and there.
>>
>>58318748
>samefagging in his own thread
lol

You do know that OP doesn't bump the thread, right? It is easy to tell when you're posting.
>>
>>58318822
Then watch as I bump the thread , dumbass.
>>
>>58318873
>look at me, i can post using my phone as hotspot just as i explained earlier in this thread, i'm a professional samefagger
>>
>>58318887
But the unique IP count didn't go up, you fucking moron.
>>
>>58318914
>unique IP count
No of course it didn't, because you already posted from your phone earlier in this thread just like you admitted.
>>
>>58318929
I never admitted such a thing.
See >>58318258
>Hey you can not believe me all you want. At the end of the day we're both just anonymous guys on a website, what the fuck does it matter?
Call me a samefag all you want, have fun. I'm out.
>>
>>58318990
You just posted, it didn't bump to the first page. :^)
>>
>>58316644
You keep posting this in every *BSD thread and it's blatantly false. I know people who designed the FreeBSD CDN. They have a release process that undergoes 4 different reviews running FreeBSD 12.0-CURRRENT. You can even go to their site and see that the delivery is indeed done through FreeBSD and that their Linux API is on AWS. Linux hasn't moved a single bit of any movie or series on Netflix, it's all FreeBSD. The reason is the license and speed of the FreeBSD networking stack. They don't want the GPL lawyers knocking on ISPs doors about a CDN they didn't build.

I've told you this over and over, but you just refuse to accept it. And I really don't care whether you do or not, I'm primarily answering this so that people who are reading your shitposting have accurate information.

Mr. 4wes0mE I already pay for hosting and domains are 90 cents, let's join forces and make a new BSD hate site, the last popular one stopped getting updates

https://aboutthebsds.wordpress.com/

With your help we can destroy the bsd shits

Solid wew.

that's a problem not unique to BSD.

Gentoo founder (currently funtoo because muh systemd butthurt) used his distribution only on his server, never on the desktop.
>>
>>58319675
Why is that "a problem"?

Both FreeBSD and Gentoo are arguably server OSes.
>>
>>58319653
Most FreeBSD devs I know, including myself have at least one FreeBSD laptop/desktop machine. I personally run FreeBSD only, some have macbooks for conferences though, but they always have a FreeBSD install somewhere outside of servers.
>>
>>58307581
How does TrueOS compare to FreeBSD
Is it literally just FreeBSD with the lumina desktop?

Don't buy into the FUD. Talk to people, check the code, form your own opinions.
