Oh yeah. I've had people die at the comfort of my 558's. Somewhere down the road I may upgrade to the 600's but just not feeling it right now.

Recently bought the HD 598 Cs edition. It's decent for 150 eurobucks. Before that I had a low-end HD 438 and that lasted me 7 years of abusing it in backpacks etc. Eventually died because the slider and hinge system is plastic and it wore off.

Really disappointing to see that the hinges and slider system are still largely plastic in today's 5xx series. It is probably the single point of failure for these headphones.

Comfy as fuck though.
