So I don't know why companies make usb headsets while using 3.5 mm jack for mic and headphones. I don't know why, but all of a sudden I can't use my mic through usb but through jack it works fine. What's up with that? Is audio via usb better? Is it some kind of mikser (never pressed any buttons on it lol). Do you know how do i fix it so the mic works through usb again?

1) yes, because it takes the processing away from interference, at least it should.
2) in the case of this, it is more because many people dont have front inputs on their cases, this is just a convenience measure, if you have actual jacks use them
3) its possible they add some control to the headphones on the usb thing, so it's easier to use.
