Is it possible to have fun programming without being good at maths?

this.
my programming knowledge goes as far as powershell, so i've got a long way to go.
i'm not interested in going much further if it's going to be all numbers and equations, my brain can't handle that shit.
Yes, but most fun uses for programming require at least some grounding in math.
Unless you just wanna make websites forever, that doesn't require any math at all.

lmao

oh ok. I guess i'll go as far as i can without serious maths.

My dude.
YOU CAN UNDERSTAND MATHEMAGICS
MY DUDE PROGRAMMING I FUN EITHER WAY
PLEASE LOVE MATHEMAGICS
YOU WILL BE GOOD IF YOU TRY
(x, g(x))
A WISE MAN ONCE TOLD ME
"It was the opposite for me. Learning to program felt like becoming a wizard. Every day I learned a new incantation, and as I came to understand the deeper rules of magic, I realized I could make nearly anything I could imagine become real, with enough time and effort.
I'll never forget the feeling of seeing what I imagined appear on the screen."
please PROGRAM CODE write that MY DUDE
Math is more than just "numbers and equations" (it's called algebra)
You could script/program websites, UIs (might need some trig but probably not), server maintenance scripts and shit like that with almost no grasp of math past basic conditional logic that a 10 year old can figure out.
if you want to do any real systems programming then yes you'll need to be comfortable with far more advanced mathematical concepts

Sure you can do some fun things using only strings and coditional logic. But if you want to do something really cool like AI, you may want to know some math. Start off doing it for fun, and that the math skill will come with time.

MATH WILL COME TO YOU JUST DO
JUST START
THE PAIN YOU RECEIVE FROM STARTING WILL GO AWAY JUST FUCKING START
>>58266504
MATH IS EASIER TGHAN YOU THINK IT IS
LEARN
No, retard.
>>58268195
yes it is
khan academy
and deliberate effort
if you genuinely care then you will learn some MATHEMAGICS

thanks for all the great encouragement doods.
happy coding!
I can't speak for anyone else but I find it much easier to learn the math when I have something I want to solve with it. There have been a few occasions where I didn't know how to even start something but after a while of experimenting with parameters and algorithms I then got the concept because I was able to break it down and see the use in what i was attempting and even how to apply it next time. To be fair however most of the stuff I have done is mostly for myself at this point and fairly low complexity.

wew, over my head

experiment and you may pick up the math while your learning to code.
