The point is you're not using an OS that calls home every fucking minute without you being able to disable that "feature". The botnet is already in Ubuntu, sure, but that doesn't mean there aren't distros that have none of that shit(ie. most of them).

You'd be surprised. Nowadays most however slightly complex software are written in slow, high-level, Pajeet friendly languages such as Java, and you bet once that fucking mess of convoluted code finally works they won't think of touching that again in order to optimize it.
