Hi /g/ you probably get this thread every day, but here it is
I'm looking to get a new graphics card since my old 650Ti Boost is struggling to run anything anymore
Since I'm a poorfag, budget is around 180 euros. And here lies the dilemma:
Should I get a brand new 1050Ti or try to catch a good, used GTX970?
Happy New Year bros
See if you can get an RX 470 instead since that will last a bit longer. But only if it's about the same price. Otherwise get the 1050ti. The 970 is already running into issues because of the 3.5 GB VRAM.

What kind of issues, Anon?
>>58259931
probably in regards to hitting the VRAM limit. It's especially bad for the 970 thanks to that """"""""""4gb""""""""" that causes games to treat it as if it has 4gb rather than 3.5, in regards to how much it decides to load into the frame buffer. The 970 would perform better if it was natively 3.5.
This one is the best possible value

1050ti is for retards who fell for the amd is shit meme which appears to be you considering your options
470 4gb is your best option
If you want it to last for over 2 years I say save up for another few weeks or however long it takes for you and get the 480 8gb. It's still getting performance improvements to this day
And won this generation (aside high level market)
Just want to point out that you can save 10% of NewEgg for AMD today
