Anyone have any experience with dumpster diving for older technology or similar?

Got my first computer when I was 10. It was an HP. No idea what the specs were.
My dad delivered garbage to a landfill and would find cool stuff. Brought home this dirty PC. He showed me how to install a BASIC interpreter and I had a manual on basic BASIC. Got me into programming. I made text adventures mostly. Wrote an interactive poem for my first girlfriend in 7th grade and she called me a nerd and broke up with me. She wound up developing a heroin addiction and died last year in a drunk driving accident. I am married now and have yet to write my wife anything half as beautiful as what I wrote Becky. I still have a shoebox full of notes that she wrote me. I checked my old email a few months ago and found one from her saying she remembered the breakup and regrets being a "stupid kid".
I wonder if I used up all of my romanticism or if I really felt that much love at such a young age. Holding hands with her past curfew at the park felt like such a rush. Now I drink daily because I feel like my life is over. I hold no emotion for Becky except pity, but she took something out of me that I will never get back.
I often dream of a cold wooded area where I am completely alone. It is peaceful and I am content as I dream. Some day I will move there and live for awhile as Emerson did. Then I will take all the LSD I brought with and quietly freeze to death leaning against a tree.
When the spring thaw comes I will decompose and feed life into the earth, as the earth has fed life into me. It is not a sad thing. It is just the way I was born to be. I will never feel the joy of handing my son his first computer and showing him how to program poems for his first girlfriend. At least he won't end up like me.

How about you go take some SSRIs and quit bitching about your school crush. Go have some therapy too since your life at the moment is so fucked up to even allow you the time to reminisce about school crushes. Oh, and some testosterone shots would help too since men shouldn't give a shit about a cunt's opinion of them.

I used to dumpster dive for fun. I did find an Xbox 360 game somehow, gave it to a friend forgot what it was
excellent way to get free food, not even gross moldy shit but literal expired by 1 day packaged meat, deli stuff, "expired" bags of chips etc

I was gonna post about an Oscilloscope I found, but now I just feel
I found an old computer in the trash once as a kid, complete with screen, keyboard, and tons of DOS games on it. After a few days, my mother told me to throw it out, because if stank and drew too much power. I should have backed up the games, but the floppy drive was broken.

THIS
40% of produced food is thrown away. I get hundreds of dollars worth on some trips, fill up the entire 30 ft counter with veggies, bread, dressing, pop, wine, beer, etc. It's crazy.
I never find shit, even rich people are too ratty in my shithole and would rather try to scam someone on the local equivalent of craigslist than throw it away.
