Overwatch's load speeds are almost entirely network dependent. Even on a creaky, old HDD with good internet the load times were nearly instant, and loading it onto my SSD has barely done anything.

If you're really so strapped for cash then just buy one of the 4k consoles. They're cheap (relative to PC), play in 4k, and just work.
Sure you don't get the best parts of PC gaming like RGB lighting and ricing the desktop, but it's a much better use of your money.

Alright, since no-one on here has an actual explanation why you shouldn't buy, I will elaborate. Ignore all other comments. This is the only comment you should read.

This is NOT FASTER THAN AN ORDINARY SSD FOR REAL WORLD USAGE. Do not fall for the marketing bullshit. This is only faster (4x faster) for a very specific application, namely sequential read and write operations. If you are a regular PC user, YOU DO NOT DO SEQUENTIAL READ AND WRITE OPERATIONS. Sequential rw is only for very specific practical uses, such as data acquisition.

If you are loading a steam game, THIS WILL NOT LOAD FASTER THAN AN ORDINARY SSD. If you are loading windows, THIS WILL NOT LOAD WINDOWS SIGNIFICANTLY FASTER THAN A REGULAR SSD.

Dont fall for this. Its a marketing sham.

This is all confirmed by real world benchmark testing, If you don't believe me, google it.

I paid 230€ for my 32GB RAM kit couple of months ago, it's now hovering around 330€
So if you're going to get something, buy it now rather than later.

I bought two 950 pros and have them in raid zero. My read and writes are only limited by the pcie slots and hover around 3100mb/s. It is a noticable improvement over a normal ssd, things happen pretty much as fast as you can click them in windows(i have a 6700k) but its not really worth the 400$ i paid for 512gb. But i don't really regret it since i don't usually get bleeding edge tech and it is neat to use before it becomes commonplace.

If you're looking to buy an SSD, then might as well embrace the speeds and buy the NVMe drive.
Here's a 20GB file transfer I just tried with my 500GB 960 EVO.

I'm gonna get an M.2 NVMe drive for my OS and some programs and move my Kingston 480GB into my laptop, which is showing its age and has a 1TB WD Blue since forever ago so it's not super fast. I think it's only SATA II instead of III but the board can do III so.... yeah.

In terms of game load times the benefit of going beyond a regular SATA SSD is negligible.
