Is anyone still hiring for COBOL or Fortran these days? I mostly see job postings for C/C++, Java, C#, JS, random hipster language.

Hospitals, banks, and federal government have a lot of shit that still use COBOL.

Fortran is still used in some sciences (mostly physics) although python is a fuckload more popular

The job postings you're looking at are mostly about code monkeying. Also take into account that some employers will look for skills in language X but the job really only ever calls for language Y (this isn't rare, but not common).
How do I get a job with this?
