IT Support for a 6th Form College. It's unappreciated, wildly varying work to fill in the holes left by an underfunded and understaffed school all for a whopping £16k.

I'm still about 2.5 years away from finishing an IT degree at a state school. Would I be able to find an entry job with just a couple of certs in the meantime? What about having a github portfolio, do people even look at that? I do have a liberal arts associates from my small stint in a state community college would I be able to work with that somehow?

Tier 1 helpdesk for a local MSP. Making about $37, just got my A+, working on Network+. Got in without any creds or experience. I love my job and can't wait to grow more. Definitely a career I see myself being in until I retire (not helpdesk, any IT)
