If you're legitimately a college student, you should be able to get office for free from your university. If you legitimately have a job, your business should be paying for it.
If you're some faggot at home who thinks he needs to make word documents for some goddamn reason then I suggest you re-evaluate your life.
No individual should have to pay for Office (or Windows, for that matter)
>downloading software from piratetrap
lmao, kys yourself chink

Reinstall OS

>concerned about a single malware file
>when your entire operating system consists of malware
why tho
>>58246708
Ask yourself this:
Why the fuck aren't all these exploits open sourced.
Why the fuck would you run a closed source binary from a shady website on your machine.
MalwareBytes categorizes pirateware as malware.

>hosts
>a fucking text file
>malware
what the fucking fuck

easily patched when exposed
because it uncucks you from the rest of the operating system.

Well you could use hosts to do man in the middle shit.
>>58246708
WPS, LibreOffice. Both are more than enough for an office suite.

Custom hosts files are detected as malware by malwarebytes as they can be used maliciously.
>>58247159
Does that mean that malwarebytes replaces my hostfile in the paid version?
>>58247741
But why does it name it as dontstealoursoftware?
>>58247761
Your hosts file probably includes a line which lets your PC bypass their domain so it doesn't get checked for "legit activation". It doesn't matter if you're using trial, cracked or official full version, as long as you have one of their domains in the hosts the malwarebytes will think you're trying to avoid periodic licence checks.
That's the only thing I can come up with, I don't know why else it would mark hosts as "don't steal from us". Unless they check it for every software (as lots of programs have automatic online licence checks), but I doubt they'd do this.

Do they work with docx files?
>>58248055
Yes, but considering how docx is a proprietary format there's no reason it should be used outside of Microsoft anyway. Expecting everyone to own Microsoft Office just so they can open their exclusive formats is a cancerous behavior.
>>58248055
"yes" (but no).
you can kind of read and write to docx, but you'll most likely break documents wich will piss off anybody you're working with.
